Kanakuk is a premier Christian sports camp with six overnight Kamp locations in the greater Branson, MO area and since 1926 we’ve welcomed over 500,000 Kampers to our family of overnight summer camps. Our vision is to evangelize and equip the next generation to reach the world for Christ, and we do this by developing dynamic Christian leaders through fun activities, Godly relationships, and spiritual training. We want every Kamper to feel the love of Christ during their time with us, so they might experience the transformation that the Gospel brings to believers.  

 

Our six Overnight Kamp experiences include:  

  • K-1: Ages 6-11 for 2-Week Terms and 6-12 for 4-Week Terms 

  • K-2: Ages 14-18 for 2-Week Terms and 13-18 for 4-Week Terms 

  • K-West: Ages 12-14.5 with 2-Week Terms 

  • K-Kountry: Ages 6-11 with 1-Week Terms 

  • K-Seven: Ages 12-18 with 1-Week Terms 

  • K-Kauai: Family Kamp for all ages with 1-Week Terms 

 

Our Traveling Day Kamp experience includes: 

  • KampOut!: Ages 5-12 with 5-Day Terms in multiple cities across the country 

 

While Kampers are at Kamp, they participate in classic summer camp activities like sports, tubing on the lake, swimming at the pool, waterslides, and more than 70 other activities. Some Kamps rotate through the activities with their counselors, while others (K-2 and K-West) allow Kampers to create their own schedules and choose their activities. None of the activities are mandatory, but we do encourage kids to step out of their comfort zones and try new things while they are with us. Each night we offer various all-camp events for our Kampers including: 
 

  • Kanakuk Parties: Fun, exciting, and over-the-top theme parties that Kampers can’t get enough of! Party themes change every summer and are released in early spring. You can see more information about parties once they release HERE and on The Kanakuk App. 
     

  • K-Life: K-Life is our discipleship experience where most of our Biblical teaching is done. Our Directors speak to Kampers and Staff about various age-appropriate topics that teach our Kampers discipleship lessons in a way they’ll never forget. 
     

  • Overnight Trips: To add a little extra excitement for some of our 2 and 4-Week Kampers, we offer overnight “Kamping” trips that feature boating, rock-climbing, and friendship-building activities around the campfire.  

 

Each Kamp splits up their cabins by age, with 10-12 Kampers and 2-3 college-aged counselors in each cabin. During your child’s term, Kampers will participate in devotionals, be discipled by their counselors, and develop lifelong friendships with other Kampers.
